Pivotally-translatable handle (e.g., joystick):

(under subclass 37) Hand-manipulated control structure including structure intended and arranged to be grasped by the hand (i.e., handle) and manually manipulated for rotation

about a turning point or axis wherein the information signal is derived in response to the angular position of the handle with respect to a turning point or shaft.

(1) Note. The control structure of this subclass is commonly referred to as a "joystick," and quite commonly also includes additional signal generators such as button-type switches arranged on the handle to be activated by the fingers when the handle is grasped by the hand.
