DEFINITION

Classification: 427/545

Resistance heating:

(under subclass 532) Processes wherein an electrical current is passed through a substrate before it is coated or an electrical current is passed through a coated substrate to produce heat by means of internal resistance.

(1) Note. This subclass does not include processes wherein the electric current is passed through a heating filament, coil, susceptor, etc., which is not the substrate.
