(under subclass 642) Subject matter wherein the lens comprises one or more annular components which are used either to correct aberrations present in an annular zone of the lens or of another lens or to increase the depth of focus of either lens.
(1) Note. This subclass provides for both the combination of the lens being corrected and its annular correcting lens for the annular correcting lens, per se.
