With sectored disc:
(under subclass 302) Subject matter which includes a stepped or sectored opening therein to provide a light masking structure interposed between the light to be examined and the entrance slit of the spectrograph.
(1) Note. The light masking means generally includes means to move the masking structure and an aperture configuration which is a logarithmic configuration along the slit from some fixed point.
