Half-adder or quarter-adder:

(under subclass 52) Subject matter comprising a logic circuit which has two input and two output channels for binary signals, and which operates to produce an output signal (i.e., sum) on one of the output channels when one, but not both, of the input signals is present and an output (i.e., carry) on the other output channel when both of the input signals are present.
