DEFINITION

Classification: 324/601

Calibration:

(under subclass 600) Subject matter wherein the measurement or test device is compared with a standard to determine its accuracy or to establish a corrected scale.

(1) Note. Calibration differs from a measurement in that while being calibrated the testing instrument itself is measured for accuracy which in turn is used to measure some other electrical component, device or object.

(2) Note. Calibration is limited herein to the measurement

of instruments used for the subject matter under 600.
