(under subclass 469) Subject matter including an upwardly opening trough which may be formed in wood, for example, or a plurality of notches formed by bending wire or slotting cardboard, which receive the bottom edge of a mirror or picture and the sides of the trough or notches abut the sides of the mirror or picture adjacent the lower edge to hold it in a substantially vertical position.
(1) Note. The lower edge and adjacent margin of the mirror is the only portion of the mirror or picture which contacts the supporting structure in this subclass. Subclasses 488 and 490+ contain patents where the mirror or picture is gripped at more than one edge.
