DEFINITION

Classification: 62/543

(under subclass 532) Processes wherein the solidified constituent is subjected to increased pressure by physical means.

(1) Note. The pressure applied is such as to remove occluded liquid or cause some minor surface melting to remove surface impurities from the solidified constituent.

(2) Note. A process including centrifugation is excluded from this subclass unless the force exerted on the solid in the centrifuge is claimed as either a specific force exerted on the solid or specific RPM of the centrifuge.
