(under the class definition) Apparatus comprising (1) a media placed in a flow line by being previously distorted out of its normal or natural shape or size and retained within the flow line by its contact with the wall thereof and its tendency to regain its normal shape or (2) means distinct from the media itself to maintain or contain said media in a stable or sustained altitude either in or out of a flow line as by binding, framing, stitching, to support the media against gravity as to maintain it as a cohesive entity by means not including bonding of the media upon itself.
