DEFINITION

Classification: 55/470

(under subclass 467) Apparatus having a plurality of separate and distinct impelling means, each impelling means acting only on a portion of the total gas flow, or at least one impelling means serving a purpose other than merely forcing the gas to or from the separating media.

(1) Note. An arrangement of two impelling means, one of which forces system fluid to the motor of the other impelling means for cooling thereof is an example of a diverse function and is proper subject matter under this definition.
