DEFINITION

Classification: 55/434

(under the class definition) Apparatus comprising a surface means which effects an abrupt change in direction of the system fluid gas flow or guides said gas flow to cause the heavier constituents thereof to (1) drop out and remain behind, while the lighter constituent (e.g. clean gas) flows on, or (2) move to the outer periphery of a rotating gas stream in a concentrated layer to permit such layer to be separated from the mass of lighter constituent.
