DEFINITION

Classification: 546/46

A Single chalcogen is bonded directly to ring carbon of the pentacyclo ring system (e.g., desoxy morphine, etc):

(under subclass 44) Compounds wherein exactly one chalcogen atom (i.e., oxygen, sulfur, selenium, or tellurium) is bonded directly to a ring carbon of the pentacyclo ring system.

(1) Note. This subclass provides for those compounds which contain only one chalcogen bonded directly to a ring carbon of the pentacyclo ring system, e.g., the desoxy morphines, etc.
