DEFINITION

Classification: 521/148

With conjugated diene reactant:

(under subclass 146) Subject matter wherein the ethylenically unsaturated aromatic reactant is reacted with a conjugated diene reactant.

(1) Note. A conjugated diene for purposes of this subclass

requires at least two ethylenic bonds separated from each other by a single nonethylenic bond, e.g., -C=C-C=C-C-

(2) Note. A compound having at least one conjugated unit as in (1) Note above is sufficient for placement into this subclass.

(3) Note. A compound such as a triene is proper herein if it contains at least one conjugated unit.
