DEFINITION

Classification: 508/467

Monocarboxylic acid ester of olefinically unsaturated alcohol is an additional monomer of the polymer (e.g., dialkyl fumarate-vinyl acetate copolymer, etc.):

(under subclass 466) Compositions wherein a monomer that is a monocarboxylic acid ester of an olefinically unsaturated alcohol forms a copolymer with the alpha, beta-olefinically unsaturated dicarboxylic monomer.

(1) Note. More than two discrete olefinic-ally unsaturated monomers may form terpolymers, etc.

(2) Note. A typical monocarboxylic acid ester of an olefinically unsaturated alcohol is vinyl acetate.
