(under subclass 150) Stock that consists of plural layers onto which a superconducting layer or preform is intended to be placed.

(1) Note. A mandatory cross-reference should be placed in Class 428 since the layered stock could be used for other purposes.

(2) Note. Compositions or compounds, per se, that serve as substrates onto which superconducting material is deposited to control crystal structure of the superconductor layer (e.g., MgO, SrTiO3, YSZ, etc.) are classified as originals in the composition or compound classes.
