Double or second antibody:

(under subclass 539) Subject matter in which unreacted antigen or antibody or the immune complex is separated by means of a second antibody or an immune complex containing the same.

(1) Note. The second antibody is usually directed against the antibody of the complex (e.g., goat anti-rabbit immunoglobulin) but may be directed against the immune complex itself.
