(under subclass 259) Device wherein the mating threads are forced into frictional engagement by means urging the respective threads in opposed longitudinal directions.

(1) Note. The means is sometimes a discrete locking member as in subclass 263 above; if it is, however, it is not a threaded member, as is the case there (263).
