(under subclass 312) Subject matter wherein the image sensor is directed and controlled by certain special markings or guides on a document or by specific internal programming so as to skip nonessential items of information, to skip lines on a document, to control timing and sampling, to regulate speed, to use the sensor output for a specific control function.
