Of height relative to a light plane:

(under subclass 4.01) Subject matter that includes some apparatus between two remote points being measured that defines the height between the ground and a detector or reflector moved to intersect a light beam or beam plane that may be scanned or fanned.

(1) Note. The apparatus may define a path for the light beam to traverse from the mirror intersecting the plane to the ground.
