DEFINITION

Classification: 356/3.02

Using photodetection with a fixed axial line of sight:

(under subclass 3.01) Subject matter that determines an angle of the triangle with respect to a known base line by establishing a fixed viewing direction and field of view for a photodetector to generate an electrical signal upon the coincidence of the target along a photodetector's line of sight.

(1) Note. This subclass would include apparatus that utilizes a moving detector with respect to a fixed optical viewing axis to determine the direction of light from a targeted source.
