With projection of electrodes in one cell substantially nonoverlapping that of another cell (i.e., for improving resolution):

(under subclass 77) Subject matter wherein the plural cells overlap each other, but the electrodes in each cell do not substantially overlap the electrodes in the other cells, such that resolution of the display is improved.

(1) Note. Included herein are displays in which the electrodes of one cell overlap the spaces between the electrodes of another cell or in which the electrodes of one cell cover a different display area from those of each other cell.
