Field rate type flicker compensating:

(under subclass 441) Subject matter comprising means to decrease the period of the output signal below 1/60th of a second to reduce large area flicker in a display.

(1) Note. Rate change between formats such as NTSC and PAL are classified in subclass 459 or subclass 441.

(2) Note. These systems can include line number doubling or halving.
