Frame field or line dropping followed by time expansion and time compression:
(under subclass 384) Subject matter wherein the original signal is band-reduced by decimating frames, fields, or lines and time expanding the signal to occupy the time base of the original signal.
(1) Note. The process is reversed at the receiver to produce a signal having at least the same frame, field, and line rate as the original signal.
