Fixed course of bearing indicating:

(under subclass 386) Subject matter wherein signals transmitted from one or more beacons are so modulated or directed that a characteristic signal or lack of signal is received so long as the receiver is maintained within a fixed bearing line or plane.

(1) Note. Usually a plurality of directional radiators are so arranged that they have overlapping directional patterns, the signal received in the overlap region determining the bearing or course.
