DEFINITION

Classification: 324/409

Testing discharge space characteristic (e.g., emission):

(under subclass 405) Subject matter wherein the testing circuit or apparatus is designed to test the condition between two or more of the discharge electrodes of an electric discharge device, or is designed to test the characteristics of the interelectrode discharge space of a discharge device.

(1) Note. These subclasses including testing for short circuits between the electrodes of the discharge device and also deriving an operating characteristic of the discharge device such as the mutual conductance, amplification factor, etc. The testing of the impedance characteristic between one

pair of electrodes is not deemed diverse type testing merely because that characteristic may be either normal or abnormal though short circuiting.
