Electronic device controls current in secondary circuit:

(under subclass 731) Subject matter wherein the system includes a three terminal electronic device having two terminals connected in circuit with the motor secondary and having the third terminal control the passage of current between the other two terminals to or from the secondary member of the motor.

(1) Note. The controlled electronic device of this subclass type is an electric valve which can control the amount of electrons or holes passing through the device. These devices include solid-state switches, thyratrons, and controlled vacuum and gas tubes. Saturable reactors are not included.
