Means for adapting an induction motor for operation from a source of supply having a number of phases different from that for which the motor is wound are not included here even though the power factor may be affected by such means, particularly when condensers are employed in a phase splitting arrangement. (2) Note. The change of phase may be for starting or running the motor.
