DEFINITION

Classification: 318/690

(under the class definition) Subject matter in which a motor acts as a receiver or slave device with respect to a master or transmitter device. The receiver motor is termed "self-synchronous" in that it has the ability to produce torque in direct response to a command from the transmitter and to position itself in response to the command. No additional feedback loop or servomotors are included in these systems.

(1) Note. In the systems in this and the indented subclasses, the position or movement of the receiver motor is always substantially synchronized with the transmitter command.
