(under subclass 52) Subject matter in which the cooling fluid or contacting fluid is a gas under normal atmospheric temperatures and pressures and is other than atmospheric air.

(1) Note. This subclass relates, for example, to dynamoelectric devices having hydrogen cooling means. Hydrogen has a thermal conductivity greater than other common gases.
