(under subclass 239) Processes wherein external tension is applied to a self-sustaining body so as to effectively increase at least one surface dimension thereof or otherwise reshape the body by extending it beyond the elastic limit.

(1) Note. Incidental stretching which occurs in the normal reshaping of a workpiece between dies is not considered sufficient to place a patent in this subclass.
