Classification: 244/48

(under subclass 46) Sustaining airfoils so arranged that the angle between their chord line and the line of thrust of the aircraft may be altered at will, or in response to changing conditions.

(1) Note. Sustaining airfoils tilting from a horizontal to a vertical plane together with similarly tilting propellers to change from an airplane to helicopter operation are found in this class, subclass 7.
