DEFINITION

Classification: 239/472

(under subclass 463) Apparatus in which the whirl producing member is upstream of a single egress opening and is provided with flow paths at or on its periphery as well as with one or more flow paths in the center portion thereof.

(1) Note. At least one set of apertures must cause whirling of the fluid passing therethrough.

(2) Note. The apertures need not all be in the same face. In the case of a cylindrical member, the central aperture may be in the circular end face and the peripheral ports in the side walls thereof.
