(1) Note. This type of heat exchange usually involves the use of a heat producing apparatus, such as an internal combustion engine, or steam driven prime mover, which apparatus is present for a purpose other than for heat exchange and the exhaust gases from the engine or the exhaust steam from the prime mover are used to then heat the spray material or the spray apparatus, instead of being disposed of in the usual manner.
