Controlling process in response to stream condition:
(under subclass 702) Process in which a probe or sensor conveys to an actuating means a change in or the existence of a predetermined parameter, of a condition in the liquid being treated and the actuating means varies, ceases, or initiates at least one element of a treatment.
(1) Note. The sensing of the condition may be prior to or sequent to the treatment and includes the condition of either influent or effluent.
(2) Note. The operation is "automatic" and requires action by the apparatus and does not include use of, for example, an overflow standpipe or a human attendant.
