DEFINITION

Classification: 204/564

Using interrupted or pulsed direct current field:

(under subclass 563) Process in which the emulsion or dispersion is resolved using an electric field produced by a direct current which is periodically interrupted or pulsed.

(1) Note. An interrupted or pulsed direct current field is often used to reduce short circuiting by inhibiting the alignment of conducting constituents in the emulsion or dispersion between opposing electrodes.
