Predominantly hydrocarbon:

(under subclass 554) Process in which the liquid to be separated or purified is predominantly made up of one or more chemical compounds containing only atoms of carbon and hydrogen such that the total hydrocarbon content is greater than that of any single nonhydrocarbon constituent in the liquid (e.g., separating or purifying a liquid mixture containing 20% hexane, 20% octane, 30% water, 25% acetone, and 5% ethanol, etc.).
