(under subclass 781) Apparatus in which the scraper is attached to a generally longitudinally extending frame which is attached to the vehicle frame by a hitch allowing pivotal movement of the longitudinally extending frame with respect to the vehicle frame, and there is an actuator for moving the hitch or parts thereof so that the locus in the hitch about which pivotal movement takes place is moved relative to the vehicle frame.
(1) Note. The frame may be nothing more than a strut.
(2) Note. The phrase "generally longitudinally extending" means that when the scraper is in working position the frame extends more in a longitudinal direction than in a vertical direction.
