(under the class definition) Apparatus adapted to be moved over the surface of the earth comprising a feeler means adapted to sense the presence of an obstruction in or on the ground (e.g., a rock, tree, or mound of earth) and to cause or permit movement of the apparatus or a part thereof to avoid the obstruction.
(1) Note. The feeler means must constitute an element specifically provided for that purpose and not be a mere part of the tool supporting structure. A mere pivoted tool which may move because of direct contact of the tool or its supporting means with an obstruction is not included under this definition.
