(under the class definition) Apparatus comprising an earth working element and a means for sensing a condition or change of condition, which condition or change of condition may or may not occur, a separate control means and a separate power means for changing a condition of operation of the apparatus, said three means being so related that the sensing means controls operation of the controlling means and the control means controls operation of the power means, all without the intervention of a human operator.
(1) Note. The "power means" of the definition comprises a motor or a mechanical power take-off. For purposes of this definition a spring is not considered a power actuating
means.
(2) Note. Apparatus in which a movement of the sensing means develops power which directly moves the power means is not included (e.g., a sensing means connected to a piston in a hydraulic transmission to directly cause movement of a piston in the power lift cylinder). See subclass 239 for such apparatus.
