(under subclass 170) Devices comprising a cleaning element so constructed that its effective lateral dimensions may be reduced while it is being lowered into a well conduit so that the cleaner may be easily inserted in the well and then may expand to perform its cleaning function.
(1) Note. The reduction of lateral dimensions must be more than that brought about merely by the resilience of a bristle or wire as it is lowered in the well.
