69.~ Non-continuous liquid phase

DEFINITION

Classification: 162/69

(under subclass 1) Processes in which a mass of fibers is impregnated with a chemical agent to such a limited extent that the agent does not form a continuous liquid phase completely enveloping the fibrous material.

(1) Note. In many of the patents, a slow digestion of the fibrous material takes place while the material is in storage, as by percolating through a fixed bed of fibrous material.
