DEFINITION

Classification: 137/307

(under subclass 302) Apparatus in which the control valve and drain valve are relatively fixed and comprise a reciprocating body. A unitary body, usually cylindrical, and cooperating with plural ports to accomplish the stop and waste function is included in this subclass.

(1) Note. Screw actuated valves are considered reciprocating for the purposes of this subclass when the rotary component of the valve movement is not necessary to the valving function.
