DEFINITION

Classification: 123/379

Fuel injection pump governor:

(under subclass 378) Subject matter in which the fuel for the engine is provided to an engine cylinder or intake manifold by a fuel injection pump and in which the speed of the engine is regulated by varying the delivery amount of the pump.

(1) Note. The system must include a speed input to a speed regulator and must be fluidic. The system is generally used on diesel or a compression ignition engine but can include Otto or a spark ignition engine.
