DEFINITION

Classification: 123/19

Internal-combustion engines in which a body of liquid is interposed between the burned gases and the working piston or equivalent element, whereby power is communicated to the main driving-shaft of the engine, the said liquid preventing the burned gases within the combustion-chamber and working cylinder from coming into direct contact with the working piston or equivalent element.
