DEFINITION

Classification: 104/172.4

Suspended:

(under subclass 172.1) Car-propelling means having an overhead rail or track for supporting and guiding a movable truck thereon, and further having an overhead traction chain for propelling the truck along the rail or track, whereby the load carrying parts are suspended or hung below the truck and the rail or track upon which it runs.

(1) Note. An overhead conveyor which merely tows or pulls a floor-supported car therealong is not included herein. To be included in this subclass, an overhead conveyor must also have an overhead rail which supports the weight of the car or truck and its load.
