These plants have divided to rounded leaves which are frequently colorfully rayed, normally characteristically scented, and which bear large clusters of flowers on short flower stems carried by a primary stem to reside atop the foliage; numerous, showy flowers of normally the same color and shade are open at once to give the appearance of a ball; and flower colors are normally in shades of red, pink, white, etc.
