SEE OR SEARCH CLASS

428, Stock Material or Miscellaneous Articles, appropriate subclasses for a stock material product in the form of a plural layer or coated article, and especially

375+, for a coated or bonded rod or strand. Class 428 takes a nominally recited piston having a surface thereof provided with a specific coating. However, a limitation in a claim that the coated surface constitutes a specific part of the piston, such as the head or skirt, for example, is considered a structural limitation and indicates classification in Class 92.
