DEFINITION

Classification: 92/103

(under subclass 96) Apparatus in which the diaphragm is formed of (1) two or more different materials, (2) a single material which has been treated to provide portions of the diaphragm with specific properties which are different from the properties of another portion thereof or (3) claimed as of a specific material.

(1) Note. In part (3) the mere recitation that the diaphragm is formed for example of "flexible material", "rubber", "leather" or "plastic" is not considered a recitation of a specific material and is excluded from this subclass. However, specifying a kind of rubber or plastic is considered specific material for this subclass.
