(under subclass 870) Process or apparatus comprising use of (a) a cutting tool that is made of a continuous strip of material forming a closed loop and having a substantially continuous cutting edge on at least one edge thereof wherein said continuous strip cutting tool is supported to move along a closed path defined by said loop during cutting to present a different portion of the cutting edge to the workpiece without affecting the overall relationship of the cutting tool and the workpiece; or (b) a series of pivotally interconnected, sequentially acting cutting tools, each including a cutting edge arranged in a closed loop so that each of the tools follows a preceding cutting tool to cut in the manner of a continuous strip cutting tool.
