Classification: 83/814

(under subclass 788) Device provided with (a) means to adjust or increase the tension stress to which the closed loop tool is subjected or (b) means to prevent harm to the tool operator by undesired contact with the tool or to prevent damage to the tool by undesired contact with another machine part or work piece.

(1) Note. This subclass is the locus for devices with means to intercept the band when it departs from its normal course of travel to prevent the band from making undesired contact with some other element.
